How to obtain a license for MatchTracker

After an installation of MatchTracker the application will ask for a license. Without a valid license key, the application will not run. This document describes how to obtain a license from SBG Sports Software.

Step-by-step guide

Open the application by double click the desktop icon

  1. The software starts and the following popup window should appear:
  2. Click on MANUAL LICENSING...


  3. Click on the 'Save License Request File' and a new popup dialog will ask you where to save the license request file.

  4. Choose your preferred folder, in our example we have chosen the desktop. You can also change the name of the license file, in our example we go with the default name that consists out of 'the product that you want to license and your hostname :

    The saved text file will contain a couple of lines of text containing a unique identifier of your computer that allows SBG to issue you a valid license.

  5. Email the saved text file to licenses@sbgsportssoftware.com 
  6. Wait for us to issue a valid license file. Depending on your timezone, this might takes a little while, up to a day. We strive to get the license to you ASAP. 
  7. The email that you'll receive from us will contain a .txt file with your license key. Save this file to any location of your liking or just drag-n-drop it to your desktop.
  8. Open MatchTracker and click on the 'Import License' button.


  9. A similar popup dialog will open and ask for the location of the saved license .txt file. in our example it will be on the desktop:
  10. Select the license .txt file by clicking on it, hit the 'Open' button; the window will close with a popup saying that the import was successful and the deletion of the original file.
  11. The MatchTracker License Status Popup should look like this now:

    The window shows the date of your license expiry date and the total of days until this date. Click on Continue to launch the application.
